RETURN TO LIFE IN “THE VALLEY"

The social weavers nest outside of Springbok has grown substantially since my last picture

Apologies for the dearth of pictures and text, things have been somewhat busy , and I`m just getting used to being back here in the desert..or as someone recently referred to  it  : “The Valley”..which I like as it sounds very marginal and separate and just a tad spooky......it is indeed all of these things!

Much has happened in the past few weeks and amidst all the loss there has been much to lift the spirits, so I shall show and tell about these things only, and know that Jelly,Tommy and Finn will understand. XX

BIRTHDAYS.
Febraury is a veritable mine field of birthdays, so best wishes go to ALL February celebrants.
Little and Big celebrate their birthdays two days apart and so we drove to Cape Town on the 18th Feb and collected Little from school [the first time since we dropped him off at High school] then collected Bigs Ma, Lenie and sister, Ellen  from the airport.
Happy 14th Birthday Little.
A fun weekend was had by all. Followed by a leisurly trip back to the farm on Monday..a celebraotory birthday supper for Big,

Followed by a  day chilling around the pool and seeing the falls [ which is still in rather dramatic flood] and soon Lenie, Ellen, and I were depating for our safari adventure.

The Dassie or Rock Hyrax [apparantly closely related to the Elephant!!]
Test cars spotted at Augrabies..for Little.

I really like that picture of Little. He's growing into his manhood; you can just see it!
I love the picture of you and Big! But I already told you that
Love,
Gerry

Thanks Gerry..The picture of Birthday "Little" keeps shocking me. I am now bracing myself for when I next see him..it will be a 5 weeks since I last did!.and I bet I shall have even more of a crick in my neck.
Cute picture of Birthday "Big"..who has been an all round brilliant and kind and utterly wonderful person these past few weeks. I can even forgive him for having his "aged hippie" white locks cut off since he has been in England. XX
